Why, because unless you want to make GF food with 1 zillion ingredients and have no life because you are always in the kitchen, nude or not - still no fun. I am ALL OVER fast, easy, nutritious lunch foods for my kids. Cutting out bread would have to be the hardest part of going additive free, I'll be honest there. Even someone like me, with over 9 years of additive free research and living it - it can be head raging. As mum's - let's get real here, not all kids are easy to feed. Fussy little Honey Pie's. Hold back the tears.

Ok - let's get in to it. * hot tips below*

PANCAKE SANDWICHES - GF

INGREDIENTS

1 Large Pasture raised Eggywegg (AKA Egg)

1/2 Cup /80g Buckwheat Flour - Organic

1/3 Cup Pure Harvest Almond Milk*

1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder (organic or gluten free) 1 Banana (100g) 50g Frozen Spinach (Macro) Organic (2 medallions) 1 Teaspoon Coconut oil for pan frying

TOOLS

Hair Flip, Hip Swing

Large fry pan ( I use a paella pan)

Food Processor - I use a Thermomix

Egg flip/Fish slice if you're a kiwi

METHOD

If spinach frozen, wizz up fine in your blender on high

Add banana broken into pieces and all other ingredients.

Speed 5 - 10 seconds - scrape bowl - wizz 5 seconds

Heat pan on low heat. You can go and make a cauliflower base, or buckwheat base but sometimes you just need a good ol' fashioned Pizza! Although, we cut out almost all gluten, we do go back n forth, it's hard and we are still getting there. So please don't beat me up about this one. You can buy organic preservative free ham from most places now, check out your local organic store, or butcher. Woolworths do have a preservative free brand, it's not perfect and does have potato starch and sugars, but if you need to cut out preservatives and nitrates then try that option. Nitrates and preservatives can really TRIGGER my son's ASTHMA, so we avoid that shit at all costs! Alrighty! The recipe and process. I use a thermomix but you can easily do it with out.

See the beast of a pizza my daughter helped me make down below. Full of tikka infused chicken and vegies.BASE INGREDIENTS 300g room temp water 2 tsp of yeast 30g Good quality Olive Oil 1/2 tsp Pink Salt 500g Good quality Bakers Flour - We use no bleach organic but you can do whatever fits your budget
METHOD Preheated Oven - 200 degrees C
Add water to bowl or thermomix bowl, then add your yeast. Gently mix in the yeast and let rest for 3 minutes or so. Add your flour first then the salt, oil and mix on speed 8 for 20 seconds or until all blended. If using your hands or other processor - just make sure it's wizzed up well. Thermomix - Set dial to Knead, and knead for 2 minutes. By Hand - Knead for 10 minutes. Once it has been kneaded, place the dough into an oiled up medium/large bowl, turn it around gently so it is oiled up too. Cover with gald wrap - cling film and rest in a warm spot for 30 minutes or more. Once it has risen, you can take it out and portion it. Flour up your board, and roll out your dough. Place on a pizza tray or baking tray - I line mine with baking paper. Add your sauce and toppings.SAUCE I wizz up 2 cans of organic tomatoes, mixed herbs and pinch sea salt, a pinch of organic sugar of choice, 1 tablespoon of organic tomato paste. I also add 1 drop each of doTERRA's herb oils - AMAZING!!!!!!! Oregano Oil Thyme Oil Rosemary Basil Wizz it all up together, and paste your pizza dough. Add hidden veg by making this sauce in the thermomix and add carrot or what ever veg you like.
(image taken by me - 2014)

Focus & Concentration Oils

Let's help support your child through focus and concentration naturally. One of the food additives that has replaced artificial colour is 160b - Annatto - Natural Colour it is one of THE WORSE ADDITIVES that can cause all sorts of drama. From meltdown, to anger bursts, head banging, temper tantrums, inconsolable crying, sleep disturbances and so much more. This is a natural food additive that has replaced the artificial colours. It will be labelled as either natural colour or 160b or annatto. Found in many children's foods like: Ice Cream, Yoghurt squeezie pouches, biscuits, drinks - Even though it is natural it is a major one for children's behavioural issues. The bad news is that artificial colours will be replaced with annatto, the only natural colour that can affect some children (and adults) even worse than artificial colours. We are alarmed that annatto is considered to be a safe additive in food especially targeting young children, such as in yoghurts, Heinz Little Kids soft fruit bars and Rafferty's Garden fruit bars.

"Everything Is Awesome" School Bars

I created this 2 years ago, so I have just copied and pasted my recipe from my old blog. It can be overwhelming to learn everything in the beginning and many people in this industry do at times blame everyone but themselves for things that go wrong. It is easy to do so, as we are a "team" and we rely on each other a lot in this business. BUT in reality, everything that happens to you, in business and in your personal life is a result of your decisions in some way. You, and you alone are responsible for your business. It all begins and ends with you! You can change what is happening, you can shift it if it feels wrong, or not cool, just don't get in the habit of complaining about it. The great thing about Network marketing is THE SUPPORT and this comes from many avenues.

Tip 2: Educate yourself!

You should focus on educating yourselves for the first couple of months after starting a new business. This may be annoying for many to hear this as you are so eager to just jump in and make money, change lives NOW! I am not saying that you can’t make money or change lives while you learn, that’s not the case, as we will be forever learning in this business. However, the only way that you will make big money in network marketing (or any business) is if you understand the product, the company and if you don’t educate yourself in this it can become your roadblock to success. Also, you want to understand what you're providing to your customers, you want to add value to your business. How do you provide value? By educating yourself!

Do this by attending other people’s classes, attending training, even if it's out of your way it will be worth the investment. Pick up the phone and call your upline / mentor, you need to walk TOWARDS them not away from them. You may have attended 3 or more basic business trainings already and feel you don’t need anymore – However, we need to learn how to teach and by doing this often we will learn from the newbies there too. So many different questions pop up all the time at these classes. I have attended LOADS of basic business and product trainings. Zoom calls are great too. Book in a 1:1 with your mentor.

One of the best ways I educate myself is posting/blogging about a certain product or topic. When I write things down, it gets more etched into my brain. You will learn so much about the company, products, culture by putting it into your own words.

Tip 3: Use your time wisely

If you are continuing to work while starting your business or you are a parent, you will need to become a time management King or Queen. Your new business is like a newborn – it requires nurturing, attention, caring… and time. Be sure to implement some time every day to work on your business, this may mean you get up and smash out your daily duties and do a little work on your business of the evening, maybe pulling out your diary and pencilling in the days you want to contact people, sample days, workshop days and so on.PLAN AHEAD!! Get your diaries out and PLAN 1-2 months in advance so your head is not congested with time poor management, especially parents – You need this!! If you are planning on hosting a class and you advertise it 1 week or two in advance, the chances are you will have a low impact and very low shows. Build up your audience and drip feed them throughout the months of what you may be intending on sharing at your workshops or even in your sampling. I spoke to a member today about this. (A small example here) If you are planning on sharing samples next month, maybe spend a month or a few weeks discussing sleep support and calming/grounding and then the following month put out an announcement for…“Who wants to try some calming and sleep oils” (sample session) If you are time poor and would love to indulge in motivating and self-empowerment books but don’t really feel you have time to ‘read books’, for some this is uncomfortable (do what works for you, there are many options) invest in audio books and listen to them when you are driving, or cleaning the house or lying in bed. Every second you spend on your business will help it grow that much faster. A word of warning... your home duties will slip. You know, sometimes there will be a shit load of washing just sitting there, looking at you and to be honest sometimes that shit just gotta wait. Before I started this business, I was pretty killer at keeping my house tidy and well maintained and organised. I was actually really good at that, and I had two kids and I was a SAHM and it was what I did. I remember when my husband flew home from work one week (he's FIFO) and he being used to a pretty tidy, organised house came home and walked into our bedroom and saw a HUGE pile of cleaned dried washing all over the bed. It was actually a little out of control, but I was so into my new discovery of this business and I was on a mission to learn about every essential oil the company had to offer us ---> It was left behind. I knew where the clothes were, we just had to scrummage. He walked in and said ... "Woah, that's a lot of washing"!! and I remember my reply so vividly and it was "That is a sign of success honey". It happens haha. So now as I have been doing this for a little while I am a lot more organised with my time. Planning days in my diary where I do those mundane jobs, just do them first because otherwise it will never get done.

Tip 4:Be ready and expect to get out of your comfort zone, because in the beginning we are like little babies learning to walk, we will stumble and fall and get up again because we NEED to walk as we know it will get us somewhere faster and we grow from that. If this is your very first business, you will be wide eyed opened and you’ll be learning so many things about yourself that you had no idea were even there. You will feel exposed and vulnerable( I see this feeling as raw and genuine, because it's a feeling you experience when you want to give to others, and by doing this we at times need to be raw and vulnerable) You'll learn to express yourself differently, you'll learn how to adapt YOU to others, but also keeping in mind you still want to be you, and you will be, but more mindful, and be ready to become a better version of YOU. YES - You will need to connect with people, you may find this uncomfortable and way out of your comfort zone!! Sorry to be short here, but you won't make it in this business by just sitting in front of the PC and expecting everyone to flow to you by one post or event you pop up, you need to put your thinking cap on and "Connect" with people, put yourself out there and BE YOU!!!! You actually know what to do, and you might feel scared, nervous - but just bloody do it!! You may feel really uncomfortable trying new things that you may or may not be good at, but you will start to be good at it by saying yes to more opportunities, and how do you know how good or bad you are at it if you keep saying no?... and you will never be bad, ever by the way!!!! Even you starting this journey is in itself stepping out of one’s comfort zone. You could also do your first market, it could be hosting your very first community class, introducing the speaker at your event, personally speaking to and inviting people to a class you may have up and coming. Creating a business page on facebook, doing a pre recorded video and so on. We do these things because we give a shit and we want change. We do these things because we have experienced something special. We do these things because we helped a family member breathe properly for the first time in their little life during the wintery months. We do these things because we didn't have to have that hysterectomy (yes, these are my personal stories) but they will be things that make you tick, things that you feel so passionate about and you just have to do that class, or share that oil sample..You feeling this?? When I was asked to speak at an event of 200 people, did I shit myself - Yes - But I said yes anyway, I pushed past my huge barrier and said yes. I was terrified, I sweated, went to the toilet a million times but I did it!! (I actually felt the same way when I spoke in front of 10 people in the beginning of my business. Did I ever think I would ever talk in front of people about natural health?... No - BUT did I want to? - YES... Because I have always had that hunger in me for change and how else was I going to feel what it feels like to release that hunger if I always said no. The fear will always be there, it’s just a different type of fear, and sometimes that fear actually feels GOOD) As leaders you will push past fear and grow and that’s what I want for all of you. Feel fear, it's all okay – it means you are growing, you are feeling the deep passion inside, and it’s a good thing, you are overcoming your little road blocks, discovering amazing traits within yourself that you have always aspired to be and feel. There will always be fear in every new goal we embark on, every milestone we want to reach, we just learn to BREATHE IT IN ---> AND EXHALE IT OUT ---> Embrace the feeling and move forward and enjoy it.

Tip 5: Be patient!

Rome wasn’t built in a day. Most businesses actually don’t even see any profitable margin until 4, 5, 6 years into their business building and networking. Building a business, any business takes time, planning, and patience. Ask yourself this question. If I was not doing doTERRA right now, what would I be doing and what figure would I be earning in 5 years from now. What impact would that have on myself and or on myself and my family? Would I be serving others the way my heart desires? Would I be changing lives? Would I be working 9-6 40+ hours a week to make $400, $500-$600 a week, with kids in before and after school care, Stressed??? Would I be able to progress in the business and have the sky as my limit or would I have to just plod along and be stuck in this role until I decide to change jobs again? 5 years of not following my dreams. TAP into your WHY. If you don’t know what your why is, take some time to think about this. List 5 things that you feel hungry about, 5 things you are passionate about, 5 things you want and desire for you and your family, 5 things you want change and shift in, don’t forget YOU! Your why will change as you grow in this business, sometimes faster than others and that’s okay, some people have a lot of self-discovery and this is part of their why. It’s not selfish to include you in your why.

Tip 6: Be ready to fall, be ready to rise. Know that you have other leaders and mentors around you that have made it (what is that?) that could be self-worth, they made it to their self-discovery goal, it could be they are speaking in front of 20, 30, 100 people and they made it through their fear of public speaking, they made the rank of XXXX, they travelled to Europe and shared with foreign leads, "they made it" is different for everyone. Other leaders and mentors around you are STILL growing, falling and rising - learn from them, embrace them we all have so much to offer each other. Tip 7: Don’t blame your downline because they aren’t “stepping up”. You will get stuck at times. They may not have that deep passion like you, they may still love doing the business but it may not be at the top of their list to gung ho it! Don’t give up on them, meet them where they are at and if it means letting them feel into it at their own pace, then do that. Some of your team may be screaming out for extra OOMPH, you may or may not feel ready to give them that as you are growing yourself. If you are not, there are resources there in front of you, guide them into them. YOU can also tap into more mentoring too, as I have been taught; the more mentoring you receive the better at mentoring you become. Mentoring could be…. Listening to pod casts on “how to be a great leader”, it could be having a 1:1 with your up lines, or their up lines. Asking the questions like “You need to tell me what you want from me”, “How can I best support you”? – What type of mentoring do they prefer? Is it kick arse style ie: don’t give me that shit, or is spiritual, soft but firm. “How far do you want to go, how far do you want me to push you?” If you know your team members why, you can bring them back to that when they are stuck. That’s why asking “What is your why”? Is so important. “When you feel like quitting, would you like me to chat about your why with you”? – Tip 8:
ENJOY YOURSELF. CREATE AND DIARISE TIME FOR YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES. SHINE ON. DON'T DIM YOUR LIGHT SO OTHERS FEEL COMFORTABLE AROUND YOU - YOU WILL LIGHT THE WAY.

IT'S OKAY TO RECEIVE THE LOVE, YOU WILL RECEIVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK AND YOU WILL LEARN TO EMBRACE THAT. BE YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF.

MAKE LOVE NOT WAR.

DANCE.

Paleo Banana Bread - GF

This is a super easy banana bread and one of the reasons I make it every week is because it is a one bowl wonder. This recipe sums up This Mother's Real as it's Super easy, and as a busy mum I need simple and I know you do too. Now this will cook longer than a normal wheat flour banana bread and in my experience it is best when it looks a little dark, almost burnt looking. Don't freak out, it will be amazing - okay!! I took the recipe from The Civilized Caveman and adapted it a little as the original recipe calls for almond butter and almond butter is just too crazy expensive for me to have on hand all the time, so I substitute it for Tahini. I always have tahini in my fridge because I make a shit load of hummus. I have added the gram weight as well so you can just chuck it all into your thermomix if you have one. So here's the recipe:

Paleo Banana Bread 4 ripe bananas - 575g

4 free range eggs

1/2 cup of tahini or almond butter - 100g

4 tablespoons of organic butter - 80g

1/2 cup organic coconut flour - 75g

1 drop of cassia essential oil - I use doTERRA only (you can use cinnamon ground if you like)

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 good teaspoon of organic vanilla bean paste

teeny bit of pink salt - a pinch

METHOD Pre Heat Oven to 175 degrees celcius or 350 F

Add everything into the bowl and mix until blended well. If using a thermomix - Speed 4-5 for about 10 seconds max? Look I never count, just until blended.

I spray a silicone small loaf tin with organic coconut oil spray. Pour in the mixture. I add frozen organic raspberries and linseeds to the top. Add to the oven and cook for 60 minutes and or until darker brown. It will seem almost rawish, but you just need to wait until it is cooled right down, like right down!! WAIT UNTIL IT'S COOLED DOWN BEFORE EATING. I know, I know, you're bloody hungry but you just gotta hold on to your horse's me darlin' it will be way better cold :)

Sharing my Love. If you have a thermomix put your temp on 37 so it's still classed as 'raw' and blend for 5 minutes. TIPS For extra creamy chocolate, you can wizz up some cashews into a fine cashew meal and add that to the mix. You can also substitute the coconut oil for 180g-200g cacao butter.

OH MAN - SALMON FLAN

When I share my recipes with you I am intending to help you along the way to a more healthier way of eating, avoiding additives. And many times it will be SUGAR! And yes, white refined sugar is what we want to avoid - because of the fructose and processing - and - .... Fructose my friend is not a good one for the belly area. I am all about cutting out the artificial additives, preservatives and other nasty shitty ingredients and giving you a few handy tips and recipes that will hopefully help you in the kitchen. This recipe is so simple and easy and all credit goes to my Mother in Law Julie ( Howdy Julie, if you are reading ). Hopefuly this will make you put back that store bought quiche that will have the awful canola oil in it, which my friend will quite possibly be GMO and it will also probably have caged eggs and other preservatives and nasties. Any hoo - let's get to it. And because I want to give you an easy option - I have given you permission to use BUTTER PUFF PASTRY (Pampers) In this picture I’ve used Pampers Butter Puff Pastry (it’s additive free) most other brands have colours, preservative and all sorts of other crap. But the pastry recipe provided is very easy and delicious.
Oh Man Salmon FlanThe Filling
1 Tin Pink Salmon or use fresh equivalent 4 -5 FREE RANGE Eggs 1/2 Cup Cream

1 Cup chopped parsley

1 Cup chopped Spring Onions (about 5)

2 fresh corn cobs or 1 can Organic Corn Kernels

Pinch of Pink sea salt flakes

1 Tablespoon Dill dried or fresh

Paprika - Sprinkle for top

The Pastry1 Cup Plain Organic Flour, spelt works well.

Salt – pinch sea salt1/2 cup Chopped Cheese50 g Chopped butter2 Tbs waterPASTRY METHODWizz flour, cheese, butter & 1/2 the water in food processor until
a ball forms, will look all bread crumbly at first, just keep wizzing, add a little extra water if req’d. Pop in fridge for a little while to make it easy to use.FILLING METHOD mix cream and eggs, salt all
together add
the remaining ingredients. Grease a flan dish ( I use a ceramic one) with butter. Spread out your pastry. Pour in salmon mix. Sprinkle with Dill and then paprika pretty bloody easy hey! Enjoy xx Preheated oven at 175 degrees C. Cook until pastry is nice and golden.

KICK THAT SHIT IN THE BUTT!

I created this immune support with the intention of kicking those bugs butt! I chose essential oils that are all very much have anti-viral & anti-bacterial properties and high immune support properties. Now I can not advise you on what quantity you and your family should consume as we are all different shapes, sizes and ages - but I will tell you what has worked for us. Keep in mind the essential oils I use for my family are PURE, so there is no essential oil that I use that has been diluted down with synthetics, alcohols or affected by herbicides or pesticides. The ratio I have gone by is a very high dilution rate as it is mainly for my children who are: as of 2016 5 & 7 years of age. A rough base of 2-3 drops per 5ml carrier. In this case the carrier used is Solid Organic Coconut Oil and Raw Organic Honey. I chose coconut oil because of it's many anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties and it's a great oil to add for mixing and blending for internal use. I chose RAW HONEY as it has not been heat treated and is amazing for supporting a compromised immune system, it also has high anti bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral properties. These two ingredients are vital and play a beautiful role in this mix. I use this as required - At the onset of something funky, the beginning of a cough, a cold, hay fever or what ever may be lurking.

I will also use it frequently during a compromised immune system. I don't really count the amount of times I administer, but roughly 4-6 times a day if it's a bad one or around 2-3 times a day to keep at bay. This is what I do for my family, you will need to decide what is best for you. Seek professional advice if required and always do your own research and do what sits right with you. ADULTS - My hubby and I make our own up as we go along. We usually grab 1 large tablespoon of raw honey, a spoon of coconut oil and 2-3 drops of oregano, 2 drops Lemon, 2 drops of the Protective Blend and 2 drops of Melaleuca. The we down it. I quite often do this once a week in the winter months just to keep my immune system in check. ALL THE OILS I USED IN THIS MIX COME FROM THIS WELLNESS PACKAGE. Except the Wild Orange. I actually gift you a small wild orange when you enrol with me with this wellness package. You will also have me as your mentor, plus a sponsor if required and you will be added to a secret squirrel group of over 12k members actively loving and sharing these oils! Lots of support for you. If you need oils, please reach out to the person who has introduced you to the oils. If you have not yet been introduced to the oils yet, then I would love to support you.
